40EPS08 General Description

Meet the 40EPS08, a high-performance 800V ultrafast rectifier diode designed for fast switching power supply applications. With a forward current rating of 40A, a reverse recovery time of 35ns, and a low forward voltage drop of just 1.2V at 20A, this diode is ideal for high-frequency applications where efficiency and speed are critical. It also features a high surge current capability of 300A, making it suitable for use in environments with high transient currents. Additionally, the 40EPS08 is housed in a TO-247 package for excellent thermal performance and easy mounting on a heatsink for efficient heat dissipation. And with its RoHS compliance and wide operating temperature range of -55°C to 175°C, this diode ensures reliable operation while meeting strict environmental standards

Key Features

The 40EPS rectifier SAFEIR series has been optimized for very low forward voltage drop, with moderate leakage. The glass passivation technology used has reliable operation up to 150° C junction temperature.
Typical applications are in input rectification and these products are designed to be used with International Rectifier Switches and Output Rectifiers which are available in identical package outlines.
