50SQ100 General Description

The 50SQ100 is a Schottky barrier rectifier diode with a maximum repetitive peak reverse voltage of 100 volts and a continuous forward current of 5.0 amperes. It is commonly used in power supply applications, as well as in general rectification and freewheeling diode functions.The diode has a low forward voltage drop of 0.55 volts at a forward current of 5.0 amperes, making it suitable for high efficiency applications where minimal power loss is desired. It also has a fast switching speed, allowing for rapid response times in circuits where quick switching is required.The 50SQ100 is housed in a TO-3P package, which is a industry-standard package size that allows for easy mounting on a heat sink for improved thermal management. This package also provides high voltage isolation and protection for the diode.
