AD640JNZ General Description

Featuring the AD640JNZ, a complete monolithic logarithmic amplifier capable of delivering up to 50 dB of dynamic range for frequencies from dc to 120 MHz. However, when two AD640s are cascaded, the dynamic range can be expanded to an impressive 95 dB, though at a reduced bandwidth. The AD640 leverages a successive detection scheme to generate an output current that accurately reflects the logarithm of the input voltage. This logarithmic amplifier benefits from laser calibration, ensuring precise tolerances and consistent accuracy across the entire military temperature range while operating with supply voltages ranging from ±4.5 V to ±7.5 V
