ADM489AR General Description

The ADM488AR and ADM489AR transceivers operate efficiently on a single +5 V ± 10% power supply, making them suitable for low-power applications. To prevent overheating and excessive power dissipation, a thermal shutdown circuit is integrated into the design, which activates in the event of bus contention or output shorting. Additionally, the receiver includes a fail-safe feature that ensures a logic high output state when the inputs are unconnected, enhancing system reliability. Fabricated using BiCMOS technology, these transceivers combine the benefits of low power CMOS and fast switching bipolar technology for optimal performance. Available in DIP, SOIC, and TSSOP packages, the ADM488AR and ADM489AR are fully specified for industrial use and can operate efficiently over a wide temperature range
