The ADS7843E/2K5 is a highly efficient 12-bit sampling Analog-to-Digital Converter (ADC) designed with a synchronous serial interface and low on-resistance switches specifically for driving touch screens. With a typical power dissipation of only 750uW at a 125kHz throughput rate and a +2.7V supply, this device offers impressive power-saving capabilities. Furthermore, the ability to vary the reference voltage (VREF) between 1V and +VCC allows for a versatile input voltage range of 0V to VREF. Additionally, the ADS7843 includes a convenient shutdown mode that reduces power dissipation to less than 0.5uW, perfect for conserving energy in battery-operated systems
