This product is no longer available for sale. SMSC FDC37C78 Floppy Disk Controller utilizes SMSC's proven SuperCell technology for increased product reliability and functionality. Optimized for motherboard applications.

Its true CMOS 765B core provides 100% compatibility with IBM PC/XTTM and PC/ATTM architectures in addition to providing data overflow and underflow protection. Sophisticated power control circuitry (PCC) incorporated for multiple low power down modes support and Software Configurable Logic (SCL) incorporated by the FDC37C669 Floppy Disk Controller for ease of use, which doesn’t require any external filter components. Software and register compatible with SMSC's proprietary 82077AA core.
