FDMF6820B General Description

With the FDMF6820B, ON Semiconductor has set a new standard for power stage solutions in high-current, high-frequency, synchronous buck DC-DC applications. This innovative device integrates a driver IC, two power MOSFETs, and a bootstrap Schottky diode into a thermally enhanced, ultra-compact 6x6mm package, offering unparalleled efficiency and reliability. The use of PowerTrench® MOSFET technology dramatically reduces switch ringing, eliminating the need for snubber circuits in most buck converter applications. In addition, the driver IC with reduced dead times and propagation delays further enhances the device's performance, while the thermal warning function and Skip Mode (SMOD#) ensure improved light-load efficiency and over-temperature protection
