The HCS500-I/P is a state-of-the-art code hopping decoder designed to deliver unparalleled security for Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) systems. With the utilization of the patented KEELOQ® code hopping system and high security learning mechanisms, this decoder provides a secure solution for implementing unidirectional remote and access control systems. Whether utilized as a stand-alone decoder or in conjunction with a microcontroller, the HCS500-I/P ensures maximum security with encrypted storage of critical information, including manufacturer’s code, encoder keys, and synchronization data in external EEPROM. Operating within a wide voltage range of 3.0 to 5.5 volts, this decoder features automatic bit-rate detection to adjust to varying transmitter data rates. Its sophisticated error checking algorithms guarantee that only valid codes are accepted, making it suitable for applications like automotive remote entry systems, alarms, immobilizers, gate and garage openers, electronic door locks, identity tokens, and burglar alarms.
