The HDC2080DMBR is a cutting-edge humidity and temperature sensor that delivers precise measurements while consuming minimal power. Housed in a compact DFN package, this sensor employs capacitive technology and features an integrated heating element to prevent condensation and moisture buildup. What sets the HDC2080 apart are its digital capabilities, including programmable interrupt thresholds for alerts and system wake-ups, all without requiring continuous monitoring by a microcontroller. With the ability to support a 1.8-V supply voltage and programmable sampling intervals, the HDC2080 is ideal for battery-operated systems. Its high accuracy makes it suitable for various environmental monitoring and IoT applications, such as smart thermostats and home assistants. Additionally, designers can choose the smaller CSP package option, the HDC2010, for applications with strict PCB area constraints, while maintaining complete software compatibility with the HDC2080. To further conserve power, the HDC2080 offers an Auto Measurement Mode, allowing it to initiate temperature and humidity measurements automatically. This feature enables the microcontroller to enter deep sleep mode, reducing overall power consumption for energy-efficient designs
