III. Built on the same foundation as the multi-phase product family, the ISL6314CRZ is a single-phase PWM control IC that delivers precision voltage regulation for advanced microprocessors. Its reduced output to a single-phase makes it an ideal fit for lower current systems, offering a cost-effective power management solution that minimizes the need for external parts and saves space. The IC’s support for both Intel and AMD microprocessors, along with its programmable VID codes for Intel VR11 and AMD 5-bit and 6-bit DAC tables, ensures compatibility and flexibility. Furthermore, its circuit for remote voltage sensing compensates for potential differences between remote and local grounds. Additionally, the IC allows for the positive or negative offset of the output voltage through a single external resistor. With advanced control loop features, the ISL6314 provides optimal transient response to load apply and removal, enhancing overall performance. Moreover, its protection features, including overvoltage, undervoltage, and overcurrent protection, as well as protection against an open circuit on the remote sensing inputs, ensure comprehensive protection for the microprocessor and power system
