With its low reverse recovery current (I_RR) and soft recovery under typical operating conditions, the ISL9R8120S3S STEALTH™ diode is an excellent choice for use as a free wheeling or boost diode in power supplies and other power switching applications. Its low I_RR and short ta phase contribute to reduced loss in switching transistors, while its soft recovery minimizes ringing, eliminating the need for additional snubber circuitry in many applications and ultimately reducing costs. Consider using the STEALTH™ diode with an SMPS IGBT for the most efficient and highest power density design at a lower cost
