LM43603AQPWPRQ1 General Description

Offering exceptional performance, the LM43603-Q1 regulator from Texas Instruments is a synchronous step-down DC-DC converter capable of driving up to 3 A of load current from an input voltage range of 3.5 V to 36 V (with an absolute maximum of 42 V). Its outstanding efficiency, output accuracy, and low dropout voltage make it an ideal choice for a wide variety of applications that require reliable power management. The LM43603-Q1 is also available in 0.5-A, 1-A, and 2-A load current options, all of which are pin-to-pin compatible, providing design flexibility and scalability. With peak current mode control, the LM43603-Q1 ensures simple control loop compensation and cycle-by-cycle current limiting. It also offers optional features such as programmable switching frequency, synchronization, power-good flag, precision enable, internal soft-start, extendable soft start, and tracking, enhancing its versatility for diverse application needs. Furthermore, the device includes protection features such as thermal shutdown, VCC undervoltage lockout, cycle-by-cycle current limit, and output short circuit protection, ensuring reliable and safe operation. Housed in a compact HTSSOP (PWP) 16-pin leaded package (6.6 mm × 5.1 mm × 1.2 mm), the LM43603-Q1 allows for a simple and optimum PCB layout. For new designs, the LM43603A-Q1 version, optimized for PFM operation, is recommended and offers pin-to-pin compatibility with the LM4360x and LM4600x family, enabling seamless migration for existing designs
