LM5000-3MTC General Description

Ideal for flyback, boost, or forward power converter applications, the LM5000-3MTC is a monolithic integrated circuit with a host of impressive features. Its internal power switch has a maximum rating of 80V and a current limit of 2A, and is safeguarded by current limit and thermal shutdown circuits. The device's current mode control scheme ensures exceptional rejection of line transients and cycle-by-cycle current limiting, while an external compensation pin and built-in slope compensation enable users to optimize frequency compensation. In addition, the LM5000-3MTC features softstart for reduced start-up stresses and an external shutdown pin for remote ON/OFF control. It offers flexibility with two operating frequency ranges: the LM5000-3 can be pin selected for either 300kHz or 700kHz, while the LM5000-6 can be pin selected for either 600kHz or 1.3MHz. Available in low profile 16-lead TSSOP package or a thermally enhanced 16-lead LLP package, the LM5000-3MTC is a reliable and adaptable solution for power converter applications
