LR12K4-G General Description

The LR12K4-G is a versatile high voltage linear regulator with a wide input voltage range of 13.2 - 100V. It allows for adjustable output voltage ranging from 1.20 - 88V, making it suitable for various applications. The output voltage can be easily adjusted using external resistors R1 and R2, as indicated in the typical application circuits. With an internal constant bias current of 10µA, the LR12 provides consistent and reliable voltage regulation. Additionally, it features current and temperature limiting to ensure safe operation. The output current limit is set at 100mA maximum, while the temperature limit is 125°C minimum, preventing any potential damage due to excessive current or temperature. Moreover, the LR12 includes protection for SMPS start-up circuit applications, automatically turning off when an external voltage greater than its output voltage is applied to VOUT. To maintain stability, it requires a bypass capacitor of 100nF or larger and a minimum DC output current of 500µA
