LTC3350EUHF#PBF General Description

The LTC3350EUHF#PBF is a highly efficient backup power controller designed to facilitate the charging and monitoring of a series stack of one to four supercapacitors. Its synchronous step-down controller utilizes N‑channel MOSFETs to provide constant current/constant voltage charging with a programmable input current limit. Moreover, the step-down converter can also function in reverse as a step-up converter, allowing it to deliver power from the supercapacitor stack to the backup supply rail. With internal balancers that eliminate the need for external balance resistors, and shunt regulators for overvoltage protection on each capacitor, the LTC3350 offers a comprehensive solution for supercapacitor management in backup power applications
