MAX1480BEPI+ General Description

The MAX1480BEPI+ is a high-speed, half-duplex RS-485/RS-422 transceiver. It features a wide 3.0V to 5.5V supply voltage range, making it suitable for various applications. With a data rate of up to 250kbps, it supports high-speed communication. This transceiver includes fail-safe circuitry, ensuring a logic-high receiver output when the receiver inputs are open or shorted. Its low supply current of 300μA makes it energy efficient, extending battery life in portable devices. The MAX1480BEPI+ is designed to withstand harsh industrial environments, with ±15kV ESD protection on the RS-485/RS-422 bus pins. Its small 8-pin package makes it space-efficient, suitable for designs with limited board space. Additionally, it operates over the extended -40°C to +85°C temperature range, making it suitable for a wide range of operating conditions
