PCA9536DP,118 General Description

The PCA9536DP,118 is a general-purpose 4-channel I2C-bus digital output expander designed to operate within a voltage range of 1.65 V to 5.5 V VCC. Its low standby current consumption of just 1 μA maximum makes it an energy-efficient solution for controlling various digital output devices in a wide range of applications, including industrial automation, home automation, and consumer electronics. The device features a 5-bit programmable I2C address, enabling multiple devices to be connected to the same I2C bus without conflicts. Each of the 4 channels can be independently configured as open-drain or push-pull outputs, providing flexibility in connecting different types of loads. With a maximum output sink current of 25 mA per channel, the PCA9536DP,118 can effectively drive loads such as LEDs, relays, and solenoids. Furthermore, the device includes an active low interrupt output that can provide valuable indication of input state changes or output updates. Housed in a compact 8-pin TSSOP package, the PCA9536DP,118 is a space-saving solution that is well-suited for designs with limited board space
