The TC1232COA is a highly efficient and reliable processor supervisor that is designed to ensure the smooth and stable operation of microprocessors. With its precision power on/off reset control, watchdog timer, and external reset override functions, it plays a crucial role in safeguarding the sanity of the processor. Upon power-up, the TC1232 holds the processor in the reset state for a minimum of 250msec after VCC is within tolerance, which is essential for a stable system start-up. The on-board watchdog circuit continuously monitors the microprocessor's sanity by requiring a periodic low-going signal on the ST input. In the event of a processor failure to provide this signal within the selected time-out period, the TC1232 automatically issues a processor reset. Furthermore, the TC1232 offers immediate activation of outputs when the PB input is brought low by an external push-button switch, while also providing contact debounce when connected to a push-button switch. This highly integrated processor supervisor comes in a space-saving 8-pin plastic DIP or SOIC package and does not require any external components, making it a convenient and efficient solution for processor supervision
