The TL16C550DIPFB is a versatile communications element that offers speed and operating voltage upgrades from its predecessors, the TL16C550C and TL16C450. With the ability to function in both character mode and FIFO mode, this ACE provides enhanced buffering capabilities to reduce CPU workload. The receiver and transmitter FIFOs can store up to 16 bytes, along with error status bits for the receiver FIFO, making data transmission more efficient
