The SMARTDM port featured in the TLV320AIC24CPFBR allows for a hassle-free connection to TI DSPs and microcontrollers. This synchronous 4-wire serial port supports continuous data transfer mode and on-the-fly reconfiguration programming mode, enabling easy cascading with other SMARTDM-based devices. The flexibility of the host port interface, which can be programmed as either I2C or S2C, adds further versatility to this codec
