The TOP243PN is a three-terminal Off-Line PWM switch IC manufactured by Power Integrations. It is designed to provide high-efficiency, low standby power, and greater design flexibility for power supply applications in offline power systems. The TOP243PN integrates a 700V power MOSFET, oscillator, PWM control, fault protection, and thermal shutdown circuitry on a monolithic IC, reducing the need for external components and simplifying the design process.The TOP243PN operates from a wide input voltage range of 85VAC to 265VAC and consumes very low standby power, making it suitable for various applications such as LED lighting, consumer electronics, industrial power supplies, and more. It offers built-in frequency jittering for improved EMI performance, auto-restart for fault protection, and a high level of efficiency across the entire load range.The device is available in a 7-pin package and can withstand high input voltage surges and line transients.
