Its on-board linear regulators, with 100-mA capacity for 5-V or 3.3-V outputs, facilitate smooth switch over to SMPS during standby mode, guaranteeing uninterrupted performance. The controller's adaptive on-time control scheme enables a full range of current mode operation, supported by simplified loop compensation and ceramic output capacitors for optimal efficiency. Furthermore, the D-CAP mode operation, designed for SP-CAP or POSCAP output capacitors, allows for further reduction of external compensation components, streamlining the design process. With comprehensive protection features like dynamic UVP and safeguards against voltage fluctuations, the TPS51120RHBR ensures reliable and stable operation across a wide range of ambient temperatures
