TPS78230QDRVRQ1 General Description

The TPS78230QDRVRQ1 is an ultra-low power low-dropout regulator (LDO) designed specifically for battery-powered applications. With a quiescent current as low as 1 µA, this LDO is ideal for microprocessors, memory cards, and smoke detectors. The miniaturized 2-mm×2-mm SON packaging allows for customization of power consumption for specific applications. The TPS782xx family is compatible with the TI MSP430 and other similar products, and the enable pin (EN) is compatible with standard CMOS logic. The stability with any output capacitor greater than 1.0 µF allows for minimal board space requirements. Additionally, thermal shutdown and current limit features protect the device during fault conditions, with an operating temperature range of –40°C to 125°C. For applications requiring a dual-level voltage option, consider the TPS780 series with dynamic voltage scaling and an ultra-low quiescent current of 500 nA
