CSR Corporation has announced the launch of the CSRmesh home automation solution, which is an updated version of the disruptive Bluetooth® Smart solution - CSRmesh™. CSRmesh home automation solutions are suitable for a wide range of applications, including the control of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, door locks and window sensors. CSRmesh now enables countless Bluetooth Smart sensors and actuators to be easily interconnected via a smartphone, tablet, PC or wearable to create total home automation.

The CSRmesh protocol was first introduced in 2014 and has been optimized for lighting control applications. The CSRmesh home automation solution further realizes functional expansion, so that various sensors or actuators added to the mesh network can be controlled. CSRmesh integrates the Bluetooth configuration and control protocol into CSR's mature Bluetooth Smart devices, such as the CSR101x™ series products. It uses Bluetooth Smart technology to transmit signals to other networked devices, which then transmit received signals back. More importantly, solutions based on the CSRmesh protocol do not require complex installation, pairing, or use of router-like access devices, thereby ensuring excellent user experience. Consumers can control not only from any Bluetooth Smart-equipped smartphone, tablet, PC or smart device, but also from standard Bluetooth Smart-equipped controls such as light switches or control panels.

A recent survey commissioned by CSR reveals growing consumer interest in 'smart home' solutions.
