FOD3180S General Description

The FOD3180S is a cutting-edge 2 A output current MOSFET gate drive optocoupler designed for high-speed performance. Its innovative design includes an aluminium gallium arsenide (AlGaAs) LED optically coupled to a CMOS detector, along with integrated PMOS and NMOS output power transistors. This advanced technology makes it ideal for applications such as driving power MOSFETs in Plasma Display Panels (PDPs), motor control inverters, and high-performance DC-DC converters. Additionally, the device is housed in an 8-pin dual in-line package that is compatible with 260°C reflow processes, ensuring lead-free solder compliance for environmentally conscious production practices
