MCP3909-E/SS General Description

The MCP3909-E/SS is a cutting-edge energy measurement IC that adheres to the IEC 62053 international energy metering standards. With its output providing a frequency proportional to the average active power at its inputs, it also boasts a convenient serial SPI interface for easy access to ADC channels and multiplier output data. Featuring two 16-bit delta-sigma ADCs with a programmable gain of up to 16, this IC delivers output waveform data at an impressive rate of up to 14 kHz, with 16-bit ADC output and 20-bit multiplier output data. What sets the MCP3909 apart is its integrated on-chip voltage reference that offers an ultra-low temperature drift of just 15 ppm/°C
