NB4N840MMNR4G General Description

With its impressive features and advanced design, the NB4N840M is a high-performance dual crosspoint switch that excels in demanding applications such as SDH/SONET DWDM and high-speed switching. Its fully differential design minimizes jitter accumulation, crosstalk, and signal skew, making it ideal for loop-through and protection channel switching scenarios. The internally terminated differential CML inputs accept a wide range of signal types, including AC-coupled LVPECL and direct coupled CML, simplifying the design process and reducing the need for external components. The differential 16 mA CML outputs feature internal 50 Ohm terminations, ensuring reliable signal transmission with 400 mV output swings when externally terminated. Controlled by single-ended LVCMOS/LVTTL SEL inputs, the NB4N840M can be configured as a versatile 1:2 fan-out, repeater, or 2 x 2 crosspoint switch, offering flexibility in signal routing. Housed in a compact 5 x 5 mm 32-pin QFN package, this device is a reliable choice for applications requiring high bandwidth and precise signal routing capabilities
