ULQ2001A General Description

The ULQ2001A is a high-performance Darlington array designed for driving a wide range of high voltage, high current loads. With seven open collector Darlington pairs, each capable of handling 500 mA of current and peak currents of 600 mA, this versatile device is ideal for applications such as solenoids, relays, DC motors, and LED displays. The inclusion of suppression diodes for inductive load driving and opposite-pinned inputs and outputs makes for easy board layout and integration with common logic families. The ULQ2001A/2003A and ULQ2004A come in 16-pin plastic DIP packages with a copper lead-frame, providing excellent thermal performance. For space-constrained applications, the ULQ2003D1/2004D1 are available in a small outline package (SO16). Additionally, the ULQ2003 is offered in an Automotive Grade version in a SO16 package to meet the rigorous demands of automotive applications. With a temperature range of -40 °C to 125 °C and qualification according to AEC-Q100 standards, the ULQ2001A is a reliable choice for automotive and industrial applications
